Our Tampa headquarters features a modern warehouse facility, a collaborative office space, and an on-site break area where teams gather to share meals and ideas. We hold monthly cookouts, celebrate environmental milestones together, and run quarterly volunteer days with local conservation organizations.
Whether you are operating a forklift, optimizing delivery routes, or closing a deal with a new customer, you are part of something bigger than a transaction. You are building a sustainable future, one pallet at a time.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
Curious about what you would actually do here? Here is a detailed look at three of our most common roles so you know exactly what to expect.
Warehouse Associate
Typical Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Clock in, attend the daily safety briefing, and review the day's inbound and outbound pallet schedule with the shift lead.
Begin sorting incoming pallets by size and condition. Separate Grade A, Grade B, and repair-needed stock into designated staging zones.
Operate a sit-down forklift to move graded pallets into stacking lanes. Verify stack counts against the inventory management system.
Paid 15-minute break in the climate-controlled break room. Grab coffee, check in with teammates.
Load outbound trucks with customer orders. Verify pallet counts, grade markings, and heat treatment stamps before each trailer departs.
Lunch break. Many team members eat together at our on-site picnic area or break room.
Assist the repair team with pre-staging damaged pallets for assessment. Move completed repairs back into inventory.
End-of-shift cleanup, equipment inspection, and handoff notes for the incoming second shift crew.
Logistics Coordinator
Typical Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Call customers to confirm delivery windows and special instructions. Update the CRM with any changes to standing orders.
Run a mid-morning route efficiency check. Identify consolidation opportunities to reduce empty miles and fuel costs.
Lunch. Coordinators often meet informally to share tips on tough routing challenges or customer situations.
Plan next-day routes. Match available inventory to pending orders, assign trucks, and send dispatch confirmations to drivers.
Handle inbound supplier communications. Schedule pallet pickups from warehouses, manufacturers, and distribution centers.
Compile the daily logistics report: deliveries completed, pallets moved, fuel consumed, and any incidents or delays.

Your Safety Is Non-Negotiable
Working with pallets, forklifts, and heavy equipment demands rigorous safety practices. We do not treat safety as a checkbox. It is embedded into every process, every shift, and every decision we make. Our safety record is one of the best in the industry, and we intend to keep it that way.
Every new hire completes a 40-hour safety orientation before stepping onto the warehouse floor. This includes forklift certification, proper lifting techniques, hazard identification, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) training. Refresher courses are mandatory every six months.
Daily Safety Briefings
Every shift begins with a 10-minute safety huddle. We review the day's tasks, identify potential hazards, and ensure everyone has the right PPE before work begins. No exceptions, no shortcuts.
Near-Miss Reporting System
We encourage near-miss reporting without blame. Every report is reviewed by the safety committee within 24 hours, and corrective actions are implemented immediately. This proactive approach prevents incidents before they happen.
Equipment Inspection Protocol
Forklifts, pallet jacks, nail guns, and all powered equipment undergo a pre-shift inspection checklist. Any deficiency means the equipment is tagged out and repaired before it can be used.
Ergonomic Workstations
We have invested in anti-fatigue mats, adjustable workbenches, and mechanical lifting aids throughout the facility. Repetitive strain injuries are preventable, and we take that seriously.
Emergency Response Team
Eight team members are trained as first responders with CPR, AED, and first aid certifications. Emergency evacuation routes are posted throughout the facility and practiced quarterly.
Everyone Belongs Here
We are committed to building a workplace where every person feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their best work regardless of background, identity, or experience level.
Inclusive Hiring Practices
We use structured interviews, blind resume reviews, and diverse hiring panels to reduce bias. Job descriptions are reviewed for inclusive language, and we actively recruit from underrepresented communities.
Pay Equity Commitment
We conduct annual compensation audits to ensure equal pay for equal work. Every role has a transparent salary band, and we publish internal pay ranges so employees understand their earning potential.
Cultural Celebration
We honor Heritage Months, host cultural potluck events, and create space for team members to share their traditions and experiences. Our break room features a rotating cultural spotlight board.
Accessibility Standards
Our facility meets or exceeds ADA requirements. We provide reasonable accommodations for all team members and continually evaluate our workspace for accessibility improvements.
Multilingual Support
Safety materials, company communications, and training resources are available in English and Spanish. We provide language support to ensure every team member can fully participate in workplace discussions.
Employee Resource Groups
We support employee-led resource groups including Veterans at Pallets Resale, Women in Logistics, and our Sustainability Champions network. Each group receives company funding and executive sponsorship.
“Diversity is not a program at Pallets Resale. It is part of who we are. Our team includes people from more than 12 different national backgrounds, ages ranging from 19 to 67, and experience levels from first-job newcomers to 30-year industry veterans. That range of perspectives makes us stronger, smarter, and more innovative every single day.”
Hear From Our Team
The best way to know what it is like to work here is to hear directly from the people who show up every day.
“I started as a warehouse associate three years ago with no experience in logistics. The training was thorough, my team was patient, and management actually listened when I had ideas. I was promoted to shift supervisor last year, and I have never felt more valued in a job.”
“What I appreciate most is that this company walks the talk on sustainability. It is not just marketing. We track every pallet, every ton of wood diverted from landfill, and every mile driven. Knowing my work has a real environmental impact makes the early mornings worth it.”
“The benefits package is honestly better than what I had at a Fortune 500 company. The 401(k) match, the health insurance, and especially the tuition reimbursement, they are investing in my future. I am currently finishing my supply chain management degree on their dime.”
“I was nervous about joining a smaller company after 15 years in corporate logistics. But the culture here is something special. People actually help each other. There is no backstabbing or politics. When someone on the team succeeds, everybody celebrates.”
“As a repair technician, I take real pride in my craft. The company gives us quality tools, proper training, and enough time to do the job right. They do not rush us to cut corners. That respect for skilled work is rare in this industry.”
“I joined right out of college with a marketing degree and zero knowledge about pallets. Fast-forward two years, and I am managing our digital presence, writing case studies, and helping tell the sustainability story to thousands of potential customers. The growth has been incredible.”
What Makes Us Different
Culture is not a ping pong table in the break room. It is how people treat each other when things get hard. Here is what defines ours.
No-Ego Problem Solving
When a challenge comes up, the best idea wins, regardless of who suggests it. Our Monday morning huddles are open to every team member, and some of our biggest operational improvements have come from first-year warehouse associates who saw something the rest of us missed. Titles do not determine whose voice gets heard.
Radical Transparency
We share the company's financial performance, sustainability metrics, and strategic goals with every team member quarterly. When people understand how the business works and where it is headed, they make better decisions, take more ownership, and feel genuinely invested in the outcome.
Work-Life Boundaries
We respect that you have a life outside these walls. No one is expected to answer emails after hours or work weekends unless it is a genuine emergency. Our management team leads by example on this. Burnout does not produce good work, and we would rather have a well-rested team operating at full capacity.
Celebrate the Wins
We recognize great work publicly and often. Monthly awards highlight outstanding contributions in safety, sustainability, customer service, and teamwork. Annual bonuses reward collective success. And when we hit major milestones, the whole company celebrates together with events, meals, and genuine gratitude.
